Wondered about that, either Oscar got caught sleeping or Max jumped the gun.

Hate the way McLaren handled that, but it worked out in the end.
Max definitely jumped the gun and McLaren had no choice really. They had to swap that moment or risk being stuck in the VSC unable to swap.

I thought they should have done it early when they pulled a bit of a gap on Charles. It's just gets riskier the later you leave it, and I'd do whatever it took to keep Piastri between Max and Lando.

It was fun for a while to think that someone might challenge max for WDC, in the end Max winning 7 of the first 10 races was just too much to overcome.

Credit where credit is due. Max has always been a magician in the wet conditions.

Still sucks wheel to wheel when he’s not in a rocket ship however.

Just read that Alpine potentially won 50 million today if they can hold 6th in the constructors. They were 9th coming into the race.

A season of being awful financially wiped out in one race.

I'm not necessarily a Max fan, but days like today where car advantages get nullified prove he is the most talented driver. He was so much faster than anyone else out there today without any little mistakes.

He’s great for sure. Wet conditions are a unique animal and he’s light years better than anyone else in those conditions typically. Has been for years.

That’s not the same as being the fastest it equal machinery under “normal” conditions though. He might be but he’d definitely have a few that are right on his level.

So sort of F1 related I got a chance to see a couple cars last week out in SoCal. Had Friday afternoon to myself so I hit up the Peterson Automotive Museum. They had one of Alonso's McLarens and Checo's Red Bull Cars on display. Here's some pictures for you all to enjoy. It's a really fun museum if you're a car guy. Right now they have a whole floor dedicated to lowriders. The amount of work that goes into the paint job on those things is incredible.

Monaco is moving to June to avoid the Indy 500 weekend.
