Yep illegal in Iowa. And it will stay that way as long as we have a dinosaur as the governor.

I prefer the layout to Fan Duels but they block Iowa ips whereas Draft Kings just asks you to check a box if you don't live in Iowa.

Also curious as a resident of one of the 45 other states that allows you to do these things.

I use Fanduels personally. I chose it because it is bigger with more payouts and has a better mobile website interface IMO. Especially useful since neither had a Windows Phone mobile app.

Spent $10 this last week on some College football fantasy and won $20.80 (+ my $10 for a total of $30.80). It was nice.

Do 50/50 and Head2Head Leagues to make consistent money. Don't give in to the $1million hype.

I use Bovada for my real sports betting.

The Head 2 Head league seems to be where the money is at. I threw 25 at Draft Kings for now, pry do the same over on Fanduel to compare the two.

Really interested in trying Fan Duel of Draft Kings. Anyone have any experience/preference using either site ?

I've only done FanDuel and really like it. Really easy to use mobile. Just be advised it can take a bit to get up to speed before you start doing well in a particular sport.

I don't do CFB, but just checked to see ISU-Iowa prices. Lazard is only $4900 on FanDuel, which looks like a huge steal.

An interesting article on why these kinds of sites are worthless unless you put a stupid amount of time and effort into it.

That is an interesting article. After playing for a year, I've come to realize that is kind of how it works (the realization that there are a lot of people out there that will consistently beat you). It's a lot of fun, though, and I'm actually up about $3000 since I started. Lost $13 on football this week. I'll put in probably 3-4 hours a week on MLB and College Basketball. NFL, I wouldn't really know how to go about researching it. CBB is really the only one where I think i have a strategy that can consistently work.

My bank wont take any payouts from Bovada. How do you cash your winnings?

I was looking into the whole daily fantasy thing, think it'd be fun to try for a few bucks. Looks like a bill passed in a senate & one went to the house, but I couldn't find anything else on it. Anyone know of any updates?

Also, what are the penalties if 'caught'? From what I've read, neither site will payout to you if you live in one of the 5 states. If that's true, not worth even trying at this point obviously.
