Not exactly sure.
A buddy of mine invited me up to his office in Denver. Introduced me to some of his coworkers, one of which was an Iowa fan. He wouldn't even acknowledge me. That really was the icing on the cake when it comes to being even remotely professional.
1776 won't believe you unless you have video evidence of at least 3-4 others doing the same thing. I admit there are doucher ISU fans in real life, interaction on message boards is different than real life, but Iowa just seems to have a way higher percentage than any other team I've ever been around.

Ok, so if you came from the south the line started BEFORE Duff to get to University, a 1-2 hour plus wait just to hit University.
I sat in a season tickets section and had a hawk to my right, hawk to my left and two hawks in front of me. I can't imagine you didn't have plenty of hawks sitting near you. I saw two near serious fist fights right by my tailgate, the cyclone fans right behind me were verbally abusive to all of those hawk fans I just mentioned including hoping the old guy in front of my would fall down the steps and die.

So yeah, I don't know what game you actually went to on Saturday but you were in some magic bubble.

Never again.

I'm guessing you're a person who automatically sees the worst in everything based on your description of Saturday. Like I said, I was there from 9:30 am until about an hour after the game - didn't witness a single issue. I've seen more fights or near fights between two Cyclone fans at past games than I saw involving Iowa fans this past Saturday.

Saw plenty walk by/even stop briefly around our tailgate - nothing more than good-natured ribbing. Had some Iowa fans in section B, but the vast majority were Cyclones. Didn't see or hear anyone in our section being obnoxious - most that were there weren't even politely cheering after their scores. Didn't receive a single "go hawks" or "F the clones" walking out.

I think your decision to not attend in the future is probably best for you. I hate hawks as much as (or more than) the next guy - refuse to go to Kinnick due to past experiences & friends' experiences - but this past Saturday was the most tame/well-mannered CyHawk crowd I've ever been apart of.

Had this Hawk school bus pull into the Haunted Forest with KINNICK written over where SCHOOL BUS is usually at. 3/4 the people that got off were cyclone fans from Jasper county.

I'm generally glad you had a good time and that there were pockets of reason around the stadium. But everything I said is absolutely true, fights, insane (and kind of hilarious) verbal attacks, being surrounded by hawks in Cyclone season ticket areas. That all happened. You can accuse me of being some negative guy, thats fine, but if you had been in my seats and my tailgate you'd be singing a different tune I promise you.

Also, you telling me you didn't hear a single "go hawks"? I'll be honest, I don't believe you. I heard a dozen.

Lol, yeah, don't care if you believe me or not. I'm not saying it wasn't said, but it wasn't said directly within earshot of me or directly to me. Zero reason to lie, I'm far from a hawk apologist. I agree their fans are the worst of the worst.

Pretty sure these kumbaya fans were not in the upper portions of the upper deck in the SW corner. Guessing more expensive seats get a slightly more subtle Hawk fan experience

I would also direct you towards the Williams/Blum podcast if you've not had a listen. Blum had to move his kids out of the stadium due to hawk nonsense. I believe he said he left at half as well.

The Hawk and Cyclone fans that were trying to intervene to stop the nonsense mentioned to them several times the kids sitting nearby didn’t need to witness all that, but that didn’t help.

The guy that sits by us usually brings his son, but two years ago, when he was 10, he got harassed a bunch so he’s not bringing him back for that game until he’s 16. He brought a Hawk friend instead who was fine and mostly complained about Brian.

I think those up there were the visiting team fan seats allotted by the AD.

I wonder what this is about?

Pollard should send all Big10 schools letters letting them know Iowa has trash fans.
