Is this a bad movie? Can't decide. There's a lot of 80s comedies that I loved that flirted with "bad".

I listened to a movie podcast on this movie where the people on the podcast said the sequel to this is better and never wanted to be able to tell them that opinion is one of the worst takes ever. This one is great, the sequel sucks balls.

You've obviously never seen Terror at Bloodfart Lake
Freddie Got Fingered is easily the worst movie ever made.

It's one of those where it seems like everyone is fully aware of how ridiculous it is and that's why it works.
The perfect amount of camp. The Fifth Element is the greatest movie of all time at hitting that mark IMO.

Hot Rod.

Sidenote: There's a podcast called "How Did This Get Made" hosted by Paul Scheer, June Diane Raphael, and Jason Mantzoukas where they watch bad movies and then talk about them. Every time they watch a Fast and Furious movie, Adam Scott is their guest.

An aside, but do you ever listen to Adam Scott and Scott Auckerman’s podcast where they cover U2 albums, then REM, then Talking Heads? The original name was “RU Talkin’ U2 2 Me?” or similar. They are great together - both very clever.

I don't, but I think my wife does. I typically only listen to Iowa State podcasts and history/non-fiction pods. My wife listens to a lot of comedy podcasts and I've heard her referenced Scott Auckerman before.

Halloween 3 is a fantastically terrible movie that has almost nothing to do with its predecessors. They take a hard left away from the Michael Myers and end up somewhere in a Stonehenge-Haunted Halloween mask-nightmare situation that is hilarious.

You should check out Comedy Bang Bang, (both the podcast and the TV show if you can find it) or Threedom. Scott Aukerman is on both of them.

I’d only seen just a little of the show of CBB, and haven’t yet listened to the podcast - I will prioritize them! I also love that he and Galifinakis are the two behind “Between Two Ferns.” He is a genuinely hilarious dude.

I saw that about 2 years ago for the first time. I had always heard that it was Halloween in name only.
Yes it was terrible

It's a strong. strong contender because it has actors with some cache.

The question is why did no one stop them?
I quote the line in that movie "You should write a book" to this day. The person that says it in the movie, has a resume that includes "I was once Queen of the Mardis Gras". That still makes me laugh, along with "We're not allowed in the house".
