What's your favorite local radio station?

I'd usually go with 105.1 because they occasionally play some indie stuff, but the play rotation has been this for the last year and a half:

1. something by Kings of Leon (but not the old, better stuff - just the most recent album)
2. something by Foo Fighters
3. recent song #1 (right now, "Animal" by Screaming Trees)
4. recent song #2 (right now, that "Lay Me Down" song)
5. something from the 90s

(Repeat ad nauseum)

What are your votes?

I think they rotate Pearl Jam and Nirvana in the #5 slot.

I used to love 105.1...but its been junk for awhile now. And now its called "New Rock 105.1" yet 75% of the songs are 10+ years old?

Depends on the time of day. I listen to the morning show (for my 5 mile commute) on Laser 103.3, and usually keep the radio tuned to that. However, when they play things I don't like as much, I jump around to some other stations; 105.1, 107.5, 102.5 and if I'm really desperate for music, possibly 104.1. Although at times radio silence beats them all.

Exactly - or occasionally some RHCP, but that's more rare. I love me some 90s rock, but I just wish there were more little indie bands played, or something like that.

My answers will be a little bit different, being from Davenport.

Rock 104.9 - rock/alternative/metal
1230 AM - FOX Sports Radio (first half of the day is actually ESPN Radio)
1170 AM - ISU games

For my TuneIn Radio app on my Droid, I go:
103.3 FM - ESPN Radio (Dallas station for Mike and Mike)
1250 AM - WSSP (Milwaukee station for Dan Patrick and Jim Rome)
98.1 FM - ESPN Radio (National feed originating from CT for SVP and Gottlieb - but it's a flaky feed)
91.1 FM - Effect Radio (Honolulu station for Christian Rock/Alternative/Metal)

Wow, no KGGO listeners? When I lived in Iowa it was 103.3 unless Mancow was on commercial, then 1460 or KGGO. If I ever move back I will probably keep Sirius since it doesn't appear there is much worth listening too anymore.

106.3, 103.3, KGGO, and the college station are usually my backups. Occasionally I'll turn it to 107.5 if I want to listen to Miley Cyrus.

I used to love STP, but every time Plush or Interstate Love Song comes on, I have to switch it. I don't mind hearing stuff from the 90s, but the least they could do is play some deeper cuts.
