What's your favorite memory - something rather specific.

I have to say that it was watching the droves of iowa fans walking out of the Jack in '05 when we laid them out 23-3. And then seeing the video of it on the jumbo-tron.

Second would probably be Seneca's 3rd down and 11 rollout pass to Whitver, on our own 5 in '02.

Third would be JJ's end around for a TD in '00 (??)

When we finally beat those pricks after 15 straight losses. I remeber my dad jumping up and hitting the ceiling fan. Also, my first one I attende in person was the '05 beat down of the #8 team in the country. I have some pre-game interviews and game calls on cd that we listen to before every game.

Come back in '02. Ruined the National Title run!

Exactly and yet more proof of what makes college football so great and enough reason for any forward thinking Cyclone fan to put a deaf ear to the national sport radio talking heads that keep calling for a playoff in college football.

I understand there have been better beat downs but of the ones I have witnessed, the 2005 one. Everything about that game was great.

I about lost it when they put up on the jumbotron the video of the Hawk fans leaving in droves... the whole line leaving the stadium was nothing but black and gold. Freak'n awesome   :jiggy:

definitely the '02 comeback. That was one feeling I'd label as priceless. I was at the game and was hearing it from all angles during the first half and at half time. It's safe to say they all felt a little salty after the game ended!

Bret Meyer to Phillip Bates. Then again I have only witnessed the rivalry as a fan for 2 years. So my choices were limited. But it was a damn good moment.

How about 2001...Pushed back to November the winner was going bowling, great game, sealed the victory with an Adam Runk INT with seconds left in the game. AMAZING

The comeback in 02. Walking out of Kinnick and just looking at all of those hawk fans with a smile on my face. One of the greatest feelings of my life...... it would have been even better if I had known at the time that we had just cost them an undefeated season.

Not that specific but one of my favorite things is listening to Hawk fans for the next week after we beat them. They are always so confident they will kill us that it rips their heart out when they lose to us. And its great to watch and listen to.

These two are exactly my two favorites.

Loved the '02 game. That comeback and being there to see it was awesome.

I was there in '04 as well and while I know we lost, man, it was awesome to see Hawk fans leave at the end of the game, behaving as if we had just kicked their butts.

I have been at every ISU / Iowa game in person since 1996 and here is my top 5 moments.

1) Walking out of Kinnick in 2002. Night game, lots drunk, overconfident Hawk fans stunned. I've never seen anything like it.

2) Darren Davis running for 220+ at Kinnick to break the streak. Sending Hayden out with a loss.

3) The 23-3 beat down in the heat.

4) The Grant Steen play.

5) Meyer to Bates.

For me had to have been the '05 game, every part of it was memorable:
-Started by camping out at the stadium overnight to be the first in line for student seats.
-Sprinting up the hill as they took my ticket and racing down the steps, trying not to fall and I was eying the front row.
-The 5 turnovers we forced, especially the bad snap that Drew "Heisman" Tate just watched as Cyclone defenders pounced on it
-Tate throwing another pick and getting tired of the beatdown, he knocks himself out to provide hawk fans with an excuse why we won our "superbowl"
-The hawk fans pouring out of the stadium as fans chanted "Cyclone Nation"
-Rushing the field and touching a part of the Cy-Hawk trophy
I still can't describe how good it felt to win that game. Growing up in Cedar Rapids I've always had to deal with their crap and this was my freshman year here at ISU so it felt like I was getting atonement for the years I had to suffer in CR

This is still my all time favorite. I hope it happens again this weekend!
