Not that this is a bad thing, but you know it's an Iowa thread when you have this many Ranch dressing mentions. My favorites are pretty basic...sausage, onions, and green peppers, and pepperoni, pepperocini, and roasted red pepper. With mozzarella, of course.

I think only a handful of places do this, Lou Malnatis, Gino's east, and Giordanos all do it. Of those 3 I like Gino's the best personally. Every chicagoan will have a neighborhood place they prefer, but none of these will ship nationally.I've been inspired. Since you are from Chicago I will ask you. Lou Malnati's that someone else mentioned actually has a frozen version that tastes almost just like the restaurant if you follow the directions. I bought from here for a friend who moved away once and I've picked up a frozen one at their locations a few times.
Lou Malnati's | Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza
Kinda pricy but you have to remember these are quite filling.
Thanks. Yeah, I don't expect the best. I don't even think Chicago style is my favorite but it's nice to change it up I guess. They really aren't that bad if you figure one of those is at least two regular pizzas. I've had Giordano's and liked it but I may get something different.
