What injury?
You can't be serious? If you don't think anything is wrong I don't know what you've been watching. There were a couple games where his knee was buckling just running. He can't get any lift to block shots and is even struggling to dunk.
Just because a doctor said there was no damage doesn't mean it isn't bothering him. A little nagging injury like tendonitis can have a major impact on your ability.

My criticism of Jameel has a lot more to do with his mental state than physical. I feel like he is physically more healthy and with this team than mentally at this point. The Twitter. Other stuff I've heard. He isn't doing himself any favors right now.

Iowa State needs him to man up and act like a senior who is proud to wear the cardinal and gold. If his mind is right, even with the bad knee, he can still be an effective player. Heck, he showed that a week ago at Texas A&M. ISU needs him to make any sort of a deep run.

Agree w CW, McKay needs to man up. Football players play w injuries far worse like Jake Knott...tough as nails. Heck I've had plenty of injuries including a partially torn quad that hurt like a ***** but still played. Did it effect part of my game, yes, did I find ways to help my team in other ways, he'll yes.

If he can't go, then sit down and let someone else play like Burton and support the rest of the team like Naz is doing.

When was the last time you saw Jameel sprinting the down the floor. Seemed like almost every game the announcers would comment about how fast he is and how his hustle down the floor creates open looks on the fast break. Haven't seen that in a while either

People always gave BDJ a hard time saying he was a cancer on the team emotionally. McKay has been very similar with his attitude and I'd argue even more of an impact as he's made public statements both verbally and over social media.

The schizophrenia on this site about McKay is amazing. It seems that there are plenty of people posting on this site who are bigger drama queens that he ever has been.

Not sure if that is possible.

I am serious.

Was Jameel hurt against A&M when he had 14 rebounds? Or just against WVU?

So how much he's hurting is directly proportional to the number of rebounds he gets?

Did you ever play sports? I played baseball at the collegiate level. I had tendonitis in my shouldder and lost 6-7mph on my fastball because of it. While it didnt keep me out of any games it had a huge impact on my performance. Its not something that just goes away, some days it feels better, some days it was worse.

So even though you can see he's hurting, he says himself his knee isnt right, and the fact that he went to the doctor about it, you still refuse to believe he has an injury at all? That its all in his head?

Im not arguing with you guys, he may have a bad attitude for whatever reason this year, but the fact some people refuse to believe hes playing with some kind of injury is laughable.

Could be directly related to how much RICE he gets between games. A&M they played the Monday before so he had 4 days off. WVU he had two days off. If he is gangbusters against OSU I think we can bet that Rest Ice Compression and Elevation help that knee out.

That is why I was wishing they would sit him against A&M. Who cares if you win that game. But you have to win against WVU at home. Now you are out of the B12 regular season race because you lost that game.

Yes I played sports. Pitched in college too (although I sucked).

I didn't kill McKay in the podcast, at least I don't remember killing him. I did say that he has forgotten what makes him great and tried to do more than he is capable (1 on 1 from the 3 point line for instance).

Can't beat Chip Ahoys out of the Freezer. Just saying...

Chips Ahoy arent cookies. Neither is any abomination made from a tube in the refrigerated aisle of the grocery store.

Haha, yeah, I think we can both agree that Mckay trying to take his guy 1-1 from the 3 point line is a disaster waiting to happen. He's best when hes cleaning up misses inside and getting dunks out in transition.

Are we still thinking McKay is hurt?

Yes, he's still hurt. This doesn't change anything and I stand by my statements. The only thing this recent controversy has confirmed is he has an attitude and work ethic problem, it doesnt disprove he has some inflammation in his knee.
