It's already started but the US Women start their group tomorrow at 6:30 PM tomorrow against Australia on FS1, The other two countries in their group are Sweden and Nigeria.

Today was kinda dull as Norway and Germany put away their opponents in pretty ugly routs against Thailand and Ivory Coast respectively but tomorrow should be different.

Hope Solo will be playing despite the news that's come out about her.

The USA starts at 6:30 PM CST tonight.

Sweden vs. Nigeria has been entertaining. Sweden was up 2-0, then it was tied with a couple of quick strikes by Nigeria. Sweden responded a short time later and made it 3-2. Around the 86 minute mark Nigeria tied it again. We're about to enter extra time.

Yeah, I went ahead and fixed it when I got the chance.

Nigeria looked like they deserved the win, might give the Yanks fits.

Heck, the result doesn't surprise me,

their U-20 side made it to the final in the u-20 WWC in Germany in 2010. They're a team to not sleep on.

Kind of a rough first half. We looked good at times but way too many chances for Australia. Abby should have had that header. We all know she's fully capable.

Decision making in the attacking third has been poor

Now, I'm not a huge soccer follower, but I usually get into it for the World Cups. I thought that head ref was atrocious. Rapinoe's yellow was very, very weak, and it seemed like there were many times I was expecting a US free kick, only to watch her give it to Australia. The announcers even commented on it in the second half. She seemed lost.

Just got back to my hotel a little bit ago after the games. Both were very entertaining and I was really impressed with Nigeria's attack. They had no quit. Good atmosphere in general. I agree, the ref was not good. Perfect weather and tons of American fans there.
