10 games left plus a game (or two if we are lucky) in the Big 12 tournament, we need to win at least 3 more games for Greg McDermott to not have another losing season and 4 would guarantee a winning record.

It will be close. Again, that is why the UNI and NW games were so critical.

Another question will be will McD finish with a winning record?

at Baylor

OSU

Big 12 Tourney Wed-Sat March 10-13

2 of these 10 games have teams with a lower RPI.com than us. It looks like NE, CU #142, and ISU #114 are the bottom 3 in Big 12 rpi. Oklahoma is #84 and the rest are #64 or better. That means holding serve in two games and probbaly requiring a couple of upsets. Any of our tournament games will be against better opponents. Tough road to hoe.

My most optimistic finish:

at Baylor - L
K-State - W
at Missouri - L
at KU - L
OSU - W
A&M - W
Nebby - W
at CU - W
Missouri - W
at K-State - L

My most pessimitic finish:

at Baylor - L
K-State - L
at Missouri - L
at KU - L
OSU - L
A&M - L
Nebby - W
at CU - L
Missouri - L
at K-State - L

My guess is we finish 6-10 in the leage and finish the season 1 game over .500.

The three game home stretch against non-ranked teams is an absolute must.

It would be awesome to run off 5 in a row going to Manhattan.

Not a chance in us winning at Mizzou IMO. The only 2 road games I think we have a chance at winning are at CU and at Baylor

Agreed. But we all know how well we play in Boulder.

Even as poorly as this team has played at times, they have a huge opportunity in Waco tomorrow night and Saturday at home against K-State. Win both of those and we are back to .500 with a 4 of 5 game home stretch at the end of the season.

After chipping ice at Oh-dark-thirty this morning before work you are killing my back just thinking about it...

Not trying to nit-pick; you are a very intelligent poster so I just thought you would want to know.

i voted finish even, but after re-thinking and looking at the last 10, i would expect to finish with another loosing season, so if anyone can change my vote, tia.

Naming one is a challenge

Yeah...I voted that ISU would finish even, but even I think that was a pretty optimistic outlook. I really am hoping that 3 game home stretch against OSU, aTm and NU will work in ISU's advantage, but I'm not anywhere near confident they will win more than 1 of those games.

we will deifnatly finish with a winning record. i'd be happy with nit but thrilled if we went on a huge run and made the ncaa's

What have you been smoking???? I see possibly 3 wins in that stretch. Have you seen MCD coach lately?? The players are good enough to pull some more wins but I doubt the coaching will allow for that to happen.
