MY NAME IS HUMPTY
PRONOUNCED WITH A 'UMPTY'

edit - hell, you beat me to it.

MY NOSE IS BIG!

The UNI library followed by pizza at the Pizza House, which was connected to the Stein. Took every bit of the $5.00 I had in my wallet for two slices of pizza and two sodas. Place was a complete **** hole.

I am sure she thought things couldn’t get any worse and everything would be looking up from there. That was 41 years ago and she hasn’t bailed yet.
Dude.... the Stein was an iconic dump! I loved it.

Dating is a shitfest. There are definitely some bad dates on that list, but the rest are the reason some ladies will forever be single. Seriously can't go get coffee or ice cream to see if there is any chemistry between you two?
Was my exact thoughts. 801 grand for a 1st date isn’t on every single man’s list. I took my wife to Applebees as well back in the day

So I guess three burgers for a buck at Hardee's on Welch at 1:30am is now a no go. Best first date ever. Oh how I miss those days. Unfortunately you can't go back.........but wouldn't it be a blast if you could, even if for just one more time.

You should do it again for old times' sake. I'm sure it will be just as good.

First "date" was a set-up by a mutual friend at a basketball game, then drinks and dancing (disco was big). First "real" date was to the movies in Omaha. We honeymooned in Paris five years after the wedding when we finally could afford it.

Yeah, I know, gotcha all beat on da mooooooves.

Met my wife at the Fox after a KU/ISU basketball game. I was drunk and pissed about having to wait in line. She turned around to tell me to stop ******** but she knew the bar tender so we skipped the line after my tantrum. I proceeded to get more drunk and sang karaoke with my friends. At the end of the night my buddy got her number for me.

I called her the next week and I am sure we went to Applebee's or something like that, so that would be the first date. No clue why she gave my buddy her number her cause I was a mess and this was Selfs first game in Hilton, I being an Illinois fan also yelled at him throughout the game and after the game went to the tunnel to tell him to pound sand for leaving Illinois.

Well its been 19 years together and 17 married.

Side note I got to know the owner really well, we went their alot and she gave me a satin fox 1 lounge jacket. Wish I still had that thing, but it was lost long ago.

I used to work with a gal who told 3 or 4 of us that she banged her now husband on the first date. My initial reaction was TIM, but then I was thinking go on. Was that wrong of me to think that?

We went waterskiing with friends at Little Wall Lake by Jewel for our first date. Yes, we're both from around Ames. Went to O'Malley Maggies for the second date. Shows my age.

I took her to the Texas Tech-ISU football game in 2014 for our first date. Once I learned she was an ISU grad/fan AND she was willing to get up early to tailgate I had a feeling she might be the one.

Met a few weeks prior on a Halloween pub crawl that I almost didn't go to as I was wiped from tailgating and going to the OU ass kicking earlier that day. Crazy how sometimes things just work out.

We met swingdancing at Lake Robbins out by Woodward. I took her out on our first date a couple days later to a picnic at Ada Hayden - to the swing up in the hills on the Northwest side. For the picnic I packed what I had learned at Lake Robbins were her favorite foods - a dark chocolate bar, a jar of peanut butter, and A&W Root Beer. We got married 11 months to the day after that

I just saw a twitter post that got me thinking about my first date with my wife. Where did you go? Who paid?

We went to the Applebee's in Cedar Falls, I paid, and nearly 30 years later she still remembers what we both ate.

Took my now wife to Cheesecake Factory on our first date, the day we got engaged, and on our one year anniversary.

I can smell the Aqua Net and Brut from here.

Edit: I'll add a song just to complete the image

And we danced like a wave on the ocean, romanced
We were liars in love and we danced
Swept away for a moment by chance
And we danced and danced danced
The Hooters!
