So I'm not sure how I managed to grow up in the Des Moines area and never make it to davenport, but good night! Let's just say Northpark mall is sketchy to say the least. it was like a war zone in there. Anything worthwhile in dport?

Honestly, not a lot - and I grew up there.

If the River Bandits are in town, you can check that out.

If you're looking for a "clubbing" environment, go check out the District in Rock Island. Just be careful you don't end up in the wrong neighborhood in Rock Island.

If nothing else, go to downtown Moline. There's a lot of stuff down there. Bier Stube is amazing.

Several casinos.

If you're looking for a straight up sports bar, you'll have to Google-search that. Been too many years since I've lived there.

Go to Dooks...

yeah, there may be something cool happening at the Mark (not sure what it is called now). There is Penguins Comedy club (which I think is below Nan's piano bar) I haven't been river side in a long time. If you want a chuckle go to the Sky Bridge and laugh at wasted money. John Deere Pavilion was interesting. Is Michael's fun world still around?

Truth be told I haven't been in the area for 7 or 8 years. There was a brewery in Rock Island that I recall being pretty cool. Stay out of East Moline and the south parts of Davenport in general. Rock Island is spotty and there isn't much to do in Bettendorf.

Ah, yes. The Sky Bridge. Outsiders from the Quad Cities like to say "at least it's a cool landmark." Quad Citians, on the other hand, realize its extreme stupidity.

I always loved Comedy Sportz take on it - "This segment of Comedy Sportz is brought to you by the Davenport Sky Bridge - the $7 million bridge that leads you absolutely nowhere."

By the way, if you like improv comedy, Comedy Sportz is another good option. It's in the District in Rock Island.

You found Northpark Mall to be rough? You should probably go ahead and prance yourself back to Urbandale.

There was a thread last week about what to do in the QC for a night. Check it out for things to do unless you are a really old person or too young to enjoy what was suggested.

Yes, the Bandits are in town tonight. Beautiful night for a ballgame!

Haha i was in Davenport for a couple years (hence the user name) and it's not as bad as many make it seem. Downtown Moline and the East Village in Davenport are good if you want to go out but not rage. Bandits games are decent. The ghetto bars in the district actually closed right before i left a few months ago, so I'm not sure what it's like now but I know there are still a couple club type bars if that's what you want.

The Quad Cities are about as harmless as it gets. I mean if you act like a yuppie, you'll more than likely get some **** thrown your way, but if you have any social skills at all you'll never have a problem.

Head to the Probstei Inn. You'll likely have the joint to yourself. Unlimited PBR.

The owner will be the guy with dark hair and a stache' behind the bar. Nice guy, he'll hook you up some drinks if you understand how a conversation works.

You're welcome in advance.
