That isn't too terribly alarming honestly. Iowa and ISU neither one typically load up this early. Texas on the other hand always does. When MAC was here, he signed a bunch of Florida and Texas kids late almost every year. Not saying this is what the new staff will do, but it isn’t too abnormal. Honestly they are still laying end rows and trying likely to unearth stops in the mid west besides the South!

There is a pretty good correlation between good prospects locally, compared to few good local prospects. Local kids might commit to the local school early...

Good lord...can we go a year without someone freaking out about how many commits we have compared to everyone else.

This same story replays itself every single year.

I don't see anyone freaking out here......yet.

It will happen, of course, but hasn't happened yet. As you said, we see this every year. Nothing to see here.

I'm definitely going to be that guy...I certainly hope the coaches are making inroads and leaving the end rows to the farmers.

who cares about commits. I've heard more good things about ISU football and the coaching staff from the football players in my school than ever. And I live in IC.

when did texas a&m start to be a big recruiter again??

For the record A & M is one of those historically good recruiting teams that I have lumped into what I have called the 15 Elite recruiting schools. These are schools that good or bad record aside ALWAYS sign good classes. They signed the 8th ranked class in 2005 and tailed to 27th in 2006 and dropped even further to 43rd in 2007. But They rebounded to 16th last year and really they have always signed pretty good classes.

Now based on their dwindling NFL numbers they may have actually been "poor" classes but alas they were anked otherwise.

I bet this is the year when it comes back to haunt us and we don't sign a single player.
