In a statement, which was relayed by Sports Business Journal's Liz Mullen, the U.S. Attorney's office said the new indictment "expands the scope of the charged wire fraud conspiracy to include alleged payments to the families of six student-athletes in connection with those players' decisions to attend four different NCAA Division I Universities."

The schools listed are the University of Louisville, the University of Miami, the University of Kansas and North Carolina State University, all of which are affiliated with Adidas.

I will re-post what I posted on the other thread; the FBI Stated that the alleged payments were done without Kansas' knowledge so if the NCAA sticks to how they handled the Myron Piggie/Corey Magette at Duke case then Kansas is fine. Any players found to be involved will face the standard punishment for impermissible benefits and on we roll.

What I've read suggests plausible deniability defense will be in full bloom. Nothing here points a smoking gun directly at Ku basketball. Everything falls on Adidas, parents, guardians and AAU coaches of Ku hoopsters. The underbelly is lower than the snake's in a muddy tire track. Whew.

Ah, there's that selective moral indignation we all come to know and snicker at. I knew it was in there somewhere. Seems like it was just missing for a few days; not sure why.

I came for the alligators, but that's some bad company for KU to be in. I would think they would at least be a level above NC State, Miami, and Louisville when it comes to running a dirty program.

Players will continue to have to sit out at KU for impermissible benefits? Ya don't say!
