A couple of thoughts.

A few times it looked like they were trying to tackle Troy Davis. No, I'm not saying he will be the next Troy Davis.

I have never seen a ref move as fast as the ref in the 2:10 clip and following clip.

He has one rule: NO ONE breaks the goal line before him.

Dam. That was Impressive. He's fast and shifty but not afraid to take tacklers head on. Sign him up!

Here's the BIG thing... will both Wimberly and Jackson have a RS year available? If so, this makes a ton of sense to add these two, but if not, it's pretty debatable whether this is a good move or not?

Because if they don't have RS years available... then next season we will have these guys all on scholarship at the RB position....

1. Shontrelle Johnson
2. James White
3. Jeff Woody
4. DeVondrick Nealy
5. Robert Standard
6. Wimberly
7. Don Jackson
8. Tyler Brown (who will definately be on his RS year)

That's just way too many guys at this one position. It means we are going to be thin in other areas on the team.

But if Wimberly, Jackson, and Brown are all able to take a RS next season, we will be sitting pretty at this position for some years to come.

All three would have redshirt seasons available, since Jackson and Wimberly are coming from JUCO.

Also, Wimberly and Nealy both can pretty much line up anywhere on the field on offense. When two of your running backs will be lining up in the slot some of the time, a lot of running backs is not a bad thing

With all these good running backs, we need to get more of them on the field. I think it is time to break out the Wishbone. We might even convert one to play QB. It is time to start playing to our strengths.

If that's the case, then I LOVE the idea of bringing in these two JUCOs. After next season we will lose our top 3 RB's in SJ, JWhite, and JWoody. Then the following season we will have...

Nealy, Standard, Wimberly, Jackson, and Brown. And as you point out... both Nealy and Wimberly could almost be like Jarvis West type guys that line up in the slot, but get the ball a lot on screens and also on running plays where they go in motion and get the handoff around the end. A lot like JJ Moses of the past.

Probably not the wishbone, but I do like the idea of the QB in shotgun with RB's on either side of him and also one behind him. I think some refer to it as the "diamond" formation? Of course, that really limits how many WR's and TE's you can line up though.

Even with them redshirting it is still too many imo. 8 scholarships to RB's, 3 of which that need to RS, is too many when we have positions where we desperately need more numbers and/or upgrades. Plus we go right back to having 4 RB in the same class.
