That's ALWAYS been his final desired outcome, IMHO. He wants to be a NBA team president.

Bulls have been playing well and lost several close games. Finally got over the hump last night. Carter, Jr. is looking better and better and Blakeney has been a really pleasant surprise. I think they will be a pretty decent team once they get everyone healthy but that probably won't be until late December sometime.

You seem to be missing my point, which was that he was never closer to that goal than when he was in the front office in Minnesota. He was widely regarded as the next guy in for a president opening. If that was truly his goal, and if he truly hates coaching, what has happened since Minnesota has been nothing more than an unnecessary detour. Unless, as some have said, it was a cash grab.
