I hope that's way off. I'm not in the mood for a foot of snow. Better hook the blower up to the tractor.
Side rant... Their Facebook page always uses captions such as...KCCI is such clickbait whores
"LIKE this ______?"
"Do you LIKE ______?"
"LIKE ______ to show your support!"
Total clickbait/like whoring. I honestly don't know why I still like their page... WHO seems so much more genuine.
I will stop and personally slap anyone who gets in an accident on I-35 south tomorrow afternoon. Trying to get weird in aggieville that night, don't need any delays.
I laughed at this, then got sad because this is how my 70 lb dog reacts to snow. So he will roll around and get coated in it then want to come right back in the house, and I am not ready to deal with that.
I have been burned enough in similar situations to this that I'm not really on board -yet- with most of the higher amounts, especially over the southern half of the swath.
Snow events in daytime with temperatures over 32 are extremely slow accumulators. Lots of melting, lots of compaction. Would be a good research paper/case study.
So with that, here's our opening bid. Usual track/amount caveats apply.

[Looks like the Winter Storm Watch was added to the row of counties South of Des Moines Metro so it's either tracking further South of the expanse of the snow is greater than originally though.
