That being said, Marshalltown is just awful. They have been the last 2 years. You wouldn't believe how small some of the kids are. Last year when I saw them, I thought they were a middle school team they were so small.

Amazing how things can change in a few years, Marshalltown won the West and played in the title game in 2009 with Creekmur at QB. Do they still have the same coaches from then?

they have a different head coach, he's 2-11 in 2 years

How about those CR Jefferson J-Hawks Thursday night. Put up 62! I know West is horrible, but Jeff is making some progress.

Too bad they can't play Davenport Central, too, and maybe be Davenport city champions.

District play has been a tremendous lift for Jeff. Getting a couple of early wins (plus playing pretty well against Prairie and Washington) has to do wonders for their confidence. They ought to finish above Waterloo East in their district, so if they can get past Waterloo West to finish fourth ... it's playoff time, J-Hawks!

Harlan shut out by DC-G, 34-0. Seriously, I don't think they've ever been shut out as long as I've been alive, let alone have a three game losing streak.
