We just had some photos printed at Target. Upload online, swing by the store an hour or so later.

My wife and I were talking about "the old days" where you had to take the film to the store, put it in the envelop, and send it out. And wait 60 days (or whatever) to get your pics.

60 Days! They didn't go by Pony Express! More like a week. And if you were in a hurry there was always the 60 minute place.

But no, I don't miss getting my vacation pictures back and seeing only 50% turned out. And of those 25% didn't capture the feel of what you were going for anyway.

60 Days! They didn't go by Pony Express! More like a week.

I remember there being about a week delay. It was even longer in my family, because my parents saved several rolls to take them all at once, some when you got the photos back, and they had the date-stamp on the edge, snapshots taken around Christmas might say "March 1972."*
