Weird, but it happens..........we always set up our coffeemaker to come on automatically, so we have hot coffee ready right away. Occasionally, the filter will get flopped over in the basket, and when this happens, the basket fills up with hot water, and eventually the hot water/coffee ground mixture overflows all over the counter, floor, etc. Several mornings I have come out ready for a nice hot cup and discovered this. Ugh. o_O

Driving down the road checking cows and out of the corner of your eye you see a calves head peaking out at you from behind a few rows of corn. A) you know he is not alone B) there is an unbelievable amount of dew in the mornings this time of year. So after an hour of walking around the corn field soaking wet you find them.

For me, it's not what happens, it is that it happens. Most of the people we support are east coast, but I live in Phoenix, meaning we're either two or three hours behind them (depending on daylight savings or not). The dreaded 4:30am text/email/phone call is what ruins my morning.

I am the least "morning person" morning person you will ever meet. I used to start my day with a coke & a smoke, and I was good to go. Quit both over 10 years ago. Now I wake up, my back hurts, and I'm cranky as all get out, but I still have to go to work.

My method of coping is to avoid ALL conversation and real life human interaction for (hopefully) an hour before I start dealing with my day...I go browse the net with a heating pad on my back. If I wake up late, or don't get that quiet time for some other reason (like when grandkids visit), it goes downhill from there.

Sounds like it might be time to go back to a coke and a smoke...

When I go downstairs and find all the lights on and a counter full of dirty dishes from the kids' sleepover the previous night... like this morning... and most mornings this summer during the Summer of Sleepover.

If the internet is down at home before leaving for work I'm afraid to leave the house. What's happening out in the world? I have no way of knowing.

Yes, I have Mediacom, so this happens a lot.

I would say about 200 are auto generated, another 200 I just have to skim through, and the last 200 might be actionable. I hate emails.

How much does it suck to be all caught up, leave to go take a nice post-lunch dump and come back to another 65 new emails?
