These verses are among the best ever written IMO

Every time that I look in the mirror
All these lines on my face getting clearer
The past is gone
It went by like dusk to dawn
Isn't that the way?
Everybody's got their dues in life to pay, yeah

Half my life's in books' written pages
Lived and learned from fools and from sages
You know it's true
All the things come back to you

I don't know, Pride, this one really speaks more to me.

:jimlad:

Jackey's in the elevator (Whoa)
Lingerie second floor (Whoa, yeah)
She said, "Can I see you later (Whoa)
And love you just a little more?" (Whoa, yeah)
I kinda hope we get stuck
Nobody gets out alive
She said, "I'll show you how to fax
In the mail room, honey
And have you home by five"
Love in an elevator
Livin' it up when I'm goin' down
Love in an elevator
Lovin' it up 'til I hit the ground
In the air, in the air
Honey, one more time now, it ain't fair
Love in an elevator
Lovin' it up when I'm goin' down

Lol, that's why I hardly listen to any of the music that I loved from about age 16 to 20 or so. Complete vapidity.

That's why I listen to that music.

There are times when I want to listen to Paul Simon weaving an intricate and poetic yarn. There are other times when I just want to hear David Lee Roth singing about girls and parties.

Oh, me too, but I tend to listen to something other than hair bands when I'm looking for that now. But sometimes I still do.

Pink Floyd. Was never really interested in them. Didn't hate them and even stood outside their concert at the Jack back in the 80s. It wasn't until I got older that the lyrics (like previously mentioned with Aerosmith), hit harder. At some point I gained a new appreciation for how they weaved melodies. Full disclosure, from Meddle and later. Syd's stuff is outside my realm of interest and just too meandering for my taste.

I'm one of those people that instantly hate anything that's new and popular, so this happens to me a lot. I wouldn't call them 'the classics' however.

Movies. Napoleon Dynamite, Step Brothers, Dark Knight Rises. I thought they all sucked majorly when I first saw them, but came around to them after 2nd viewings.

Seinfeld I've always hated and eventually gave it a few chances. This one is an exception to this thread though, still think Seinfeld sucks and is so overrated.
