Not my fave probably, but interesting. There is a character named Stee Jans in the book The Elfstones of Shannara.
Jean-Ralphio Saperstein
Also, completely agree with the title-Holden Caufield is a truly awful character. I can’t understand how Catcher in the Rye is considered a great American novel. The entire book is a whiny little **** doing nothing but being a whiny little ****.
Great movie.“This is Spinal Tap” has a bunch, even counting only secondary/cameo/off-screen names:
Artie Fufkin
Sir Denis Eton-Hogg
Duke Fame
Lt. Bob Hookstratten
John “Stumpy” Pepys
Eric “Stumpy Joe” Childs
Peter "James" Bond
Joe “Mama” Besser
Ross MacLochness, Ronnie Pudding, Denny Upham ...
I read it as an angry, angsty 15 year old-supposedly the target demographic. Absolutely despised it to the point of telling my English teacher to give me an extension and a new book to read, because my book report was going to be what a terrible piece of crap that book was.Man, rereading it as an adult really gives you perspective. I think it is a great work of nuance, and that I think it gives teens and youth a sense of togetherness in their loneliness and angst.
But as an adult - dude, stop pissing on your own shoes.
