Texas being down is better for Iowa State though. That’s all I care about.Imagine if KU had beat them.
I’m torn. I think it’s beneficial for the conference for UT to be very good, rather than say, Baylor. But I do like having the UT game being very winnable. Can they rape Baylor and grab Rhule?
Spread was like 4 or 5 so that really had nothing to do with thatFriggin Herman.... Took a timeout with 5 seconds left while down by 21. Scores a TD with 1 second left to cover the spread. To go down by 14. Now I really hate that guy.
UT being up and Baylor being down would be better imo. And UT being down hasn’t led to much better odds at a W. I think we can maintain our rare win against UT when they’re good.Texas being down is better for Iowa State though. That’s all I care about.

Why is that better? I don’t care if UT is good again. Plus Campbell beat them this year and only lost to Texas twice when they were down, one being his first year.UT being up and Baylor being down would be better imo. And maybe keep us out of the Big 12 championship game.UT and Baylor swapping roles would probably benefit us. If there is ever a fringe NY6 bowl they'd take Texas and would ponder Baylor.
That would bump our bowl game up.
Not true. Their excuse is they haven’t won enough games.Nebraska has zero excuse for not being bowl eligible.
Conferences go as their big brands go. It’s better for us to beat a good UT team than a good Baylor team. Why is that better? I don’t care if UT is good again. Plus Campbell beat them this year and only lost to Texas twice when they were down, one being his first year.
It sure wouldn’t help. Texas being a well oiled machine again would be harder to beat than Baylor is being a well oiled machine. Baylor gets a lot of talent, but not like Texas does. Hard to have any edge over Texas in any game if they hire a legendary coach.Conferences go as their big brands go. It’s better for us to beat a good UT team than a good Baylor team.
You think our winning percentage will greatly go down if they’re very good rather than Baylor?
Baylor being bad rather than UT, which is the contention, historically leads to more wins for ISU than Baylor being good and UT being its version of bad.It sure wouldn’t help. Do we really know that Charlie Strong and Tom Herman are good head coaches? South Florida is already ready to fire Strong and Herman hasn’t been a head coach anywhere else.Is there some sort of prima donna culture of uncoachable football players in TX? The fact so many good coaches fail to succeed with every advantage has to be a “them” problem at this point.

They just throw money at the hot name coach, not the good fit coach. Is there some sort of prima donna culture of uncoachable football players in TX? The fact so many good coaches fail to succeed with every advantage has to be a “them” problem at this point.
Fair enough, I see what you are saying.Baylor being bad rather than UT, which is the contention, historically leads to more wins for ISU than Baylor being good and UT being its version of bad.
