There is nothing dumber than 3rd party rooting at a football game. How stupid to go to Northern Iowa vs Iowa State and root for Nebraska or Iowa. Wrong game, wrong week, whatever it's just dumb to root for a rival's other rival at the game. You just look stupid if you do it. I know a lot of you wouldn't be found dead there, but please no one go to a non-ISU game at Kinnick or Memorial Stadium wearing ISU gear and cheer against the teams, because you bought a ticket that supports them. You just look like an idiot.

LMAO...Why, yes I was. Hilarious. my son kept whispering to me..."Dad, this guy keeps yelling about Arnaud."
IIRC the guy (and his drunk buddies) sit in/around row 28. I used to have seats a few rows ahead of him but moved last year because I couldn't stand the garbage that came out of his mouth. That and he once threw a cup of "soda" at his buddy, missed, and hit my wife instead. Security saw it happen and tossed him.

I sit in Section 3 as well, row 31, and I think I know who you are talking about. Absolutely annoying.

The old guy that sits on the far north side of section 4 in row 32 or 33 is the worst. He says some of the stupidest things I've ever heard at a sporting event. My brother and I were cracking up as the dudes that sit behind us were making fun of him the whole game.

How was ours any better, we have the evolution of gaming through song going on, begin with legend of zelda and end with halo.

At least we had a theme and stuck with it. In what universe do those two things go together?

Likewise, from what I could hear (which admittedly wasn't much, cause I was on the sidelines behind UNI's band waiting to go on) I didn't like their arrangements very much.

On ours, the zelda arrangement we played is fairly good, and it was an ok version of the Halo theme. The medley in the middle...eh.

On my way out, I saw a little kid, probably 10 or 11, leaning out one of the luxury boxes with a Nebraska jersey on, yelling "Go Huskers".

Also saw some tool wearing an Iowa hat, #23 Iowa Jersey, and Iowa gym shorts.
Son and daughter saw that kid. The other two kids had a UNI jersey and a hok jersey on. my son just yelled Go Clones right back.

I blew a vuvuzela right at a uni guy's face cause he said go hawks in the middle of the student section after our first score.... Was it rude? Sure but if he's going to go to the level of douchebaggery while wearing a UNI shirt, he deserves it.

thought it was rather comical how people in the student section were saying things like "this drive never would've happened if arnaud was in" when tiller hadn't completed a single pass all drive. lol, i was amazed at how people thought tiller was somehow ten times better than arnaud. sorry guys he's just not very good either.

We played Legend of Zelda last week in KC. Had to laugh when I heard it.

I was surprised by the amount of hawk gear worn around Ames last weekend. Then again, there never used to be that much ISU gear worn around Ames. It was overwhelmingly everywhere and warmed my heart. Also, took the family to the Mall, during the rain, to look for ISU gear and saw 4-5 people in hawk gear. Ummm...while their game was on. There are only 12+ games a year and you, superfan, are wandering around the mall?

I believe they place a hawk shirt in with the checks that come on the first of the month, jk...but seriously they do.

You do see more hok gear in Ames than you'd think. And it doesn't surprise me one bit that they weren't actually watching their "team". IMO some people like to be contrarian and I think that these people fit the bill. On top of that, this is the year where all the tavern hoks come out of the woodwork, so none of it is shocking.

Thing is, almost always when you see hok gear in Ames, the people are trashy-looking and there's a good chance they live in Boone. I do believe that ISU support, both on campus and off is really good in Ames.

Living in the Twin Cities you see a lot of Gopher gear. My wife made the comment to our kids, that isn't it different to see everyone wearing Iowa State clothes everywhere. She clearly noticed it.

The funniest thing I heard came from my wife after the fake field goal. She says to me "I didn't know they could change their mind like that". So I tell her its a trick play and she comes back with " I know it's tricky but how can they do that".
