Love the idiots who laugh at this like it isn’t factual.
Link to this information? I don't recall it happening but I also can't recall more than like 3 Iowa players over the last decade.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not claiming the big 10 west is good. I just find it funny that this site acts like it’s group of five bad, that’s just simply not the case.To me it's not about comparing it to the B12 as much as the attention it gets like it's so much better than it is. I don't recall the Big 12 North getting very high praise during its down years in the mid-late 2000s.
How many other teams play 11 power five conference teams? I’ll wait for the answer…Good grief, it’s not Iowa State’s fault that Kirk says it’s against the rules for Iowa to play more than one P5 team in the noncon.
Straight trash.Don’t get me wrong, I’m not claiming the big 10 west is good. I just find it funny that this site acts like it’s group of five bad, that’s just simply not the case.
Just sayin’ if Iowa really wanted to play Notre Dame they could have, and blaming Iowa State for that not happening is a reach. How many other teams play 11 power five conference teams? I’ll wait for the answer…
Iowa loves to not honor contracts.Just sayin’ if Iowa really wanted to play Notre Dame they could have, and blaming Iowa State for that not happening is a reach.
I hadn’t heard that Notre Dame was on the table. Honestly, I think both Iowa State and Iowa would benefit by not playing every year. I’d hate to see the series go entirely away, but would rather it only be every other year to get some variety in.Just sayin’ if Iowa really wanted to play Notre Dame they could have, and blaming Iowa State for that not happening is a reach.
I think the main argument that the B12 is much tougher because all 10 teams in the B12 had a top 25 SOS last year and you can’t say the same with the big ten westHow is that out of context? The contention here is the B12 is superior to B10 West. If you look at the head to head record, recruiting rankings, players drafted… it compares quite well to the B12. This site seems to cling to the fact that the Big Ten west gets drummed by Ohio State or Michigan in the title game and the fact TCU beat Michigan last year as the main argument that the B12 is much tougher.
Colorado also does it this year... 11 P5 opponents.Just sayin’ if Iowa really wanted to play Notre Dame they could have, and blaming Iowa State for that not happening is a reach.
Also - here’s Pittsburgh’s schedule:
Wofford
Cincinnati (Big 12)
at West Virginia (Big 12)
North Carolina (ACC)
at Virginia Tech (ACC)
Louisville (ACC)
at Wake Forest (ACC)
at Notre Dame (ACC-adjacent)
Florida State (ACC)
at Syracuse (ACC)
Boston College (ACC)
at Duke (ACC)
I count 11 P5 opponents - including, wait for it, Notre Dame. So it can be done.
Cincinnati was not going to be power 5 when this game was scheduled.Just sayin’ if Iowa really wanted to play Notre Dame they could have, and blaming Iowa State for that not happening is a reach.

That’s a purposeful 11 p5 schedule. Again, it’s extremely rare, specifically because it typically takes one home game revenue away at least.Colorado also does it this year... 11 P5 opponents.
Just because we disagree does not mean we are trolls. What brought the trolls out from under their rocks all of a sudden?
Few years back so 2019 with college Gameday in Ames or how about 2021 with college Gameday in Ames? Stop with these lies lol the obsession with Notre Dame from Iowa fans is hilarious, particularly because many older Iowa fans like Notre Dame as well.Love the idiots who laugh at this like it isn’t factual.
It’s not G5 level but it’s been horrible lately.Don’t get me wrong, I’m not claiming the big 10 west is good. I just find it funny that this site acts like it’s group of five bad, that’s just simply not the case.
Stating something on a website doesn’t make it a fact. Lol you do realize that non conference games are scheduled out years in advance right? The ADs don’t call each other up the summer before to schedule a game. Have some ******* logicI came here to provide accurate information and know that Iowa fans and ISU fans will never agree on things, even when facts are presented. Can’t wait for September.
What does Gameday have to do with it? Stop with the incoherent posts.Few years back so 2019 with college Gameday in Ames or how about 2021 with college Gameday in Ames? Yes, I have ******* logic. If I remember correctly, it was in like 2018 for the 2021 season.Stating something on a website doesn’t make it a fact. I’ve heard a little more, supposedly there are 3 defensive starters who are linked, two at positions with very good depth, one at a position that will really hurt this year.
None of the 3 would be likely 1st team All-BIG players this year.
Now that it has come out that Noah Shannon was one of the 3 Iowa starters you were alluding to, and using the info from your posts above, it sounds like two of these three names are also involved -Two more defensive players in the two deeps will be likely missing time, both in defensive backfield. Noah Shannon is a good player but Iowa has a crap ton of depth at dline. The pending defensive backfield suspensions could hurt a lot more, one safety and one corner. Iowa has a lot of depth at safety, but corner depth is the worst it’s been at Iowa in years.
