Rocco was a little off today, but this ended up being a good team win with other guys making plays.

I was very pleased with the running game with Sanders and Norton - helped us move the sticks all day.

Chase hit his kicks.

Verdon had the big pick and was seemingly everywhere. Crucial after Tampa was ejected.

What say you?

22 - Thompson had a couple real nice plays on D. Real nice open field tackle too.

Future is bright there.

It was such a team effort today.

I didn’t know Norton could have a game breaker play and just watching Baylor Chase their points all day made me vote for Contreraz.

Contreraz had one short FG and two over 40 yards (42 and 45). With ISU's history of FG kickers, that was key to the victory. If one or both 40 yard attempts were missed it is a completely different game. Plus he was 3 of 3 on extra points. 2nd place goes to the OL.

I voted for Contreraz. It was a tough vote because this was truly a team win. But had Contreraz not hit his kicks, we don't win IMO.

Baylor could have taken the easier points and not played as risky and their comeback at least gets closer if we had left 1-9 points on the board from missing FGs/PATs.

Higgins had a pretty big game again too.

Just spreading the threats around between several WR, RB and TE is so exactly what we needed to do after the poor start to the season. The offense is finally to the point where a lot of weapons have to be respected. I would never have dreamt that would be the case this year after a few games.

I'll say defense. The end of game stats aren't as impressive but Baylor had done nothing till that late 1st half pick gave them a short field and other than the bomb - I thought played really well. And the bomb was sans Tampa.
