Duh!
I've seen people about Vance being up to 260, but I'm wondering if they're doing that to have him by a hybrid LB/DE with Enyi gone. 3-3-5 by design, but almost like a 4-2-5 with him at that size.
Ive heard someone talk about how he’s essentially a fourth lineman in this defense.

Curious to hear Sage discuss Hunter's performance. His timing, arm strength, and ball velocity opens up so much more to an offense.

Accuracy will be key for him. Likely his errors come from poor footwork or lazy bases when he tries to use the arm too much

Watching again on YT.

More pressure on the QB would have been good but he's also a real good, smart player and in a lot ways probably just what ISU needed for a challenge and learning experience.

Yeah, sometimes I think it's hard to tell when a pass is that off, but maybe a defender had his hands up in the throwing lane? Or it wasn't as open as it looked on TV?
When I saw it live in the stadium, (west side so the play was toward me) it appeared that the receiver didn't break like Hunter expected so he directed him downfield but the defender was still too tight and help was coming. The clock was going off in Hunter's head so he just threw it into the ground behind the receivers so it wasn't grounding but wasn't in danger of being picked off.

Didn't he complete 80% of his passes?

01. I was very impressed with Dekkers! He has some Tua or Kenny Stabler (#12) in him.
Let's hope Hunter has more of Stabler than Tua. Our color guy, Todd Doxzen described Hunter as being Steve Young-like. I like that even better.
I watched it on ESPN+ live, it buffered one time for two or three seconds.
Jealous I am. I blame our lack of good rural internet, more than espn+, although espn+ could be better. some of the above comments very true.

I think I missed the whole 1st half before espn+ got going and started working for me. It never did accept the search mode for "iowa state vs semo". That link was just dead the whole game. In the 2nd half I found an iowa state vs semo link in their regular content. That one finally worked and I was able to watch the 2nd half with a usual amt of buffering.

I was able to watch the 1st half (entire game really) on replay with less buffering. Espn+ actually works better for me on replay or slighly delayed.

Yep. So hard to dig around and find the games I want once they’re archived. And not always that easy when they’re live.
So agree. And it seems different each time you try it.

I rewatched them game and the first defensive drive, he rushed most plays. He was definitely a step slow later when he dropped into pass coverage. Defensively, he concerns me the most when we get to big 12 play.

I thought SEMO’s Oline looked big and athletic, imo the strength of their team. Good test for our guys. I think McDonald gives Iowa trouble again.
Yeah, I was impressed with SEMO's O-line. The announcers also mentioned as a group, they've been together for like 4 years so there's continuity.

Their QB, DeLaurent, also impressed me as did that big WR, #4 I think?

I think SEMO might go on to have a really good year. We might view this game a little differently some weeks from now.

They appeared to have quite a bit of talent and playmakers on offense, but I think defensively they'll be very bad all year.

Well, I like them both. Any cominationis of the two is fine by me. FWIW, Stabler was physically tougher and a better runner, but Tua was a better pinpoint passer extraordinaire. I only saw Snake in person at the end of his NFL career (when he could barely walk), but I saw Tua a couple of times at Alabama. He was something-something until he injured both of his ankles against Georgia in the 2018 SEC Championship Game. Even then, he bounced back for a near perfect game vs. Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl before Clemson clocked him in the Championship Game @ Santa Clara.
