I love night games so there is plenty of time to tailgate. But I was really hoping for the 2:30 ABC slot. Oh well. No matter what the game time is, lets Pack the Jack and BEAT TEXAS!

It is 6pm Central Time on FX nation-wide, not 6pm on FX Central. This is GREAT for me. I can watch the game in Michigan because the coverage map for ABC wouldn't have given us the game. Nor would it have given the East Coast the game and probably parts of the West Coast. Now, the whole nation can watch if they tune into FX!

A lot of folks have stuff going on during the day so I think the 600 FX slot is better all around.

I'm fine with it. FX is a national broadcast and this is a huge game. 6PM gives it a bigger "spotlight" feel to it as well. The "nooner" tailgate too, I like it. Let the haters (ESPN/ABC) continue to hate.

Time to beat them again Cyclones!

Hit 'em hard, every yard for - ISU!!! Go State!

Good point. I'm sure up here in the twin cities they would have had the Michigan versus NW Central New Hampshire State game instead of the 'Clones on ABC. Then I wouldn't be able to irritate Mrs. Velo by rewatching the game when we got back from Central Iowa.:twitcy:

Way up there
Having to sit through a Gus Johnson broadcast should be motivation enough for every Cyclone fan to get their ***** to JTS.

He was in California, but San Francisco ain't exactly Southern California... It was colder there than here much of last fall.

Playing at CCSF for the last few years has probably prepared Jantz pretty well for the wind tunnel in JTS. Average weather in SF all year long is cold, foggy & windy as ****.

They said he has ice water in his veins so I'm sure he'll be fine.

Some noted Steele quotes on his opinions about playing in cold weather:

"Allow me to break the ice. My name is Steele. Learn it well -- for it shall be the chilling sound of your doom."

"You're not putting me in the cooler."

"Tonight... hell freeeeeezzzes."

"Mercy? I'm afraid my condition has left me cold... to your pleas of mercy."

This. National broadcast instead of regional AND in HD. Go Cyclones!

This. Anyone wanting the regional ABC vs a true national audience is crazy. Primetime...national...Steele rebounding after a rough outing to beat Texas and move us into the top 25....I'm ready!

Steele Jantz has played better in warm day games thus far. Small sample size.
