UF should have all of thier D back next year except maybe one player.

Florida's defense was outstanding tonight...kind of played "bend, but don't break" football, and worked it to perfection.

I didn't think Florida's defense was all that outstanding, but it was good (enough). What was outstanding was Florida's offense. Perhaps not in points scored, but they won the game by dominating a couple of key areas. Florida had a 10 minute advantage in time of possession. OU can't score when they don't have the ball.

Florida's offense also converted several 3rd-and-longs to maintain drives that gained field position, and kept OU's offense with a long field when starting most drives. Harder to score on a long field.

Florida's defense got a big assist from a couple of butterfingered OU receivers (at in opportune times), and somewhat bizzare playcalling at times from OU. But that's the way it goes.

Hey Stoops, not to pile on or anything like that, but from my years and years of listening to John Madden comment on games, I think he would suggest the following:
1) Take points early in the game
2) If you are going for it on 4th and goal from short..., be a little creative on 3rd and goal from short (maybe a little play-action???).
3) Asking your FG kicker to pull out a 49-yard FG in the BCS championship game when his season-best is a little over 40 yards probably won't work out. That would be a good time to go for it on 4th and short.
4) Your no-huddle offense loses it's effectiveness when it takes 30 seconds to run the play.
