MSU is a very good team. Yet, if we only hit our averages from the field we win by ten. The math is easy. Can't say they were contesting all the missed layups or threes. We were just cold as ice.

I sure was shocked to hear the score as I left our game here tonight in Waco. Very rare to see an 11 seed beat a 3 in the womens tournament. They must have really had a frustrating night. We are headed to Greensboro to face S. Carolina. We beat them earlier this year on their court but they had a few players out then that have come back and are contributing very well. Should be a good game. We might even get to play your friendly neighbors after that. If the Hawks make it that far I'll see to it that we beat em good just for all the Cyclone Fans sake.

Please beat the ever-loving snot out of them! I have zero faith that NC State will put up a fight in the next round (they were the only 3 seed to advance to the Sweet 16, btw).

Iowa rolling on to the Elite Eight in today's 10:30 game. Up by 21 with 2:40 left in the game.

Possible matchup versus Baylor which might be interesting.

Baylor just needs to keep the pedal down in this South Carolina game and it will be a blowout. Blowout so far with Baylor up by 26 in the 2nd quarter.

I figure I win no matter who wins the Baylor- Iowa game. I dislike both coaches immensely. On the positive side, will be fun to watch the post matchup.

Since Bill seems to hate Bluder I am guessing that he won't share with her his secret recipe for beating Baylor.

Going to be a long shot for Iowa. About the worst matchup for them you could conjure up. Best chance a team has of beating Baylor might be to get hot from three, cannot imagine the paint is where you can beat Baylor. Or somehow getting out and running. And it's hard even for a good three point shooting team to get good looks against Baylor when they get motivated to lock down on defense. Baylor looks pretty damn focused right now. Gotta give the "not-Megans" credit though, they have played well once they got past standing around and watching Megan in the Mercer game.

Was amazed that DiDi Richards went off for 25 today. Ia vs. Baylor easy pick for me personally GO BEARS!!

The ND aTm game was interesting Aggies snuck in a late lead but the Irish roared right back for the win.

Mo St. staying close with Stanford in the first half.

Missouri State didn't hit their average FG % either and still won.
I find it bewildering that a team like ISU - with a "talent and quickness advantage" at every position (did a single MSU player get an offer from a P5 conference school?) - has to hit their three's in order to win.
We take better, closer in shots - we win.

I wouldn't mind a series with Mo St. it would be good competition kind of like So. Dak was this season. I'd much rather see competitive games even if we get tagged with an occasional loss than a blow out against the sisters of the poor.

Easiest path to the Sweet Sixteen we are likely to ever see again. It was a once in a decade setup. :(

Can we get #11 from Stanford to come to ISU as a grad transfer? Aussie accent haven't heard that since Allison was in Ames.

This was a good season for NC. Way better teams. Lot's of P5's and decent mid-majors that you did even have to Google up! IMHO it was better prep for Big 12 play than normal and probably good timing since we had some senior leaders and the league was down from what we have usually come to expect.

If you go deep enough on the bench you can get some downunder accent.

Don't forget we also had Lauren Mansfield after Allison. :)

Well, Missouri State looking damn good against Stanford. I think we all need to give them lots of credit.

Not dissing Missouri State. They beat us at Hilton and not on some sort of last second shot either. More a point that being the favorite and playing at home like that as a #3 seed is something we are not going to see often. We are not some sort of perennial power that gets to host very often. If we make the tourney next year it's probably going to be opening on someone else's court.
