Might be recency bias, but that dunk in the Miami game was my favorite play of George's career.

The Miami game might have been George's best game as a Cyclone. Don't know the guy. Sure he's a nice person. But, he's wasn't that good of a high level college basketball player. That's just a fact. That being said, he tried his best and loves ISU, and I respect that. Hope he makes money in Europe. Best of luck to him.

What does height have to do with whether or not you can play D1 basketball? Dudes that are 5'5 have played D1 college basketball. It's about being "good" and "athletic". Dominating 1A basketball? LOL....... Did clonefreek at least play glorified intramural ball (Div III basketball)?

Translation:
Center George Conditt signs with the Carolina Giants and will arrive in Puerto Rico tomorrow to make his debut on Saturday against the Pirates.
Puerto Rico is a tough place, very violent.

Be safe George. Thanks for all you did

Way up there
Nick Osen has an interview with George about it over on 247, apparently he's flying down for weekend games until he graduates. Recommend people read the article, though.
Most college kids are working some part time, nothing job on the weekends. George is flying to PR to play hoops. That's sort of legendary.

PR has a basketball league of it's own?? It's the same population as Iowa more or less.

Good luck to GC4, I hope he makes some money and has a great time!

When he was playing for Puerto Rico this summer, against NBA talent, the announcers couldn't believe he only averaged single digit scoring at ISU.

Isn’t he Puerto Rican? He played for their national team at one point. Seems like a good fit for him.
In the interview I mentioned earlier, it sounds like him being Puerto Rican is a big deal for that league. They have two spots for non-Puerto Ricans and I think George had a quote about being Puerto Rican and a center being really valuable for teams in the league because they almost always are importing centers.

I take it you're not going to vacay to PR to see George play? I guess I'll need to invite someone else.
I enjoyed it when I was there for 7 months, but you also have to really watch yourself. Lots of violence, and they don’t edit it on the news like they do in America.

Maybe George can prove himself in the PR league and get a chance to go to Australia or Europe and make better money.
