Gibbs said his mother is an Iowa State graduate.

Because he had to RS a year because of an injury, is it at all possible to have that count as a medical RS allowing him to use a RS year as his mandatory sit-out year? Probably not, but that would give him 3 years to play at his next location.
I'm a little surprised Iowa isn't in the mix. Linn-Mar is practically in their backyard.
He would be a good get for FH.
It's almost always either a regular RS or a medical, not both. The best chance to not lose a year when sitting out 2 years is to have both lost to a medical issue. This is when the 6 to play 4 situation comes into play.

I think it'll be hard to beat UNI for him, but we'll see. It's an interesting list, the school that was his second choice, the coach that was his second choice, and the school with the best basketball team in the state in the last couple of years.

You can't count that against him, he had several great players ahead of him at Gonzaga.

I also talked with the head Linn-Mar coach on friday night...he didn't say much but acted like he knew something...time will tell.
