Don't count on it. Going to be really hard to get these guys for anything too serious. They're going to claim they were defending themselves.

They'll probably get them on something like failing to render aid but I think murder is going to be a really hard conviction unless there's a LOT more than just this video. That's a fight where the guy who threw the initial punch gets knocked out cold.
First guy could argue defense; second guy (killer) no where near. Throw away the key!

You have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt absolutely nothing happened where the killer had any reason to feel threatened and you're going to get that side of the story and not the victim's.

This is not an easy case to prosecute. I'd imagine some slimeball lawyer will make sure his client doesn't plead it down and takes their chances in trial unless there's a LOT more evidence that isn't just this video.

Some scummy defense lawyer will paint that picture and somehow sleep at night knowing people capable of doing that and executing that are out on the street.
At minimum its involuntary manslaughter. Doubt this ever gets to court as they will do a plea deal.

IcSyc - I feel your intentions are to explain the “real world”dynamics and if so I do appreciate that!

My response is intended to simply to convey empathy for the family. Regardless of any potential court/legal outcome - the second guy killed GC.

Didn’t murder him (based on my rudimentary understanding of law) but he sureasshit killed him.

Stand by my opinion - throw away the key.

Which made me think of this line from "Law Abiding Citizen".......

"It isn't what you know.........it's what you can prove in court."

There does seem to be less honor and more cruelty in the world.

I guess I'm referring to Hollywood's Westerns, where in a fight, the combatants took off their guns and duked it out.

But not to the death.

And Hollywood is not reality.

RIP Greg C :(

Its been a few days since I watched the video of the fight. But I would think a murder charge is appropriate vs. manslaughter. It would be one thing if the killer sucker punched Coleman and the result of his fall to pavement caused death. But it looked like that same guy came up and unloaded a couple vilolent punches on an unconscious Coleman's head.

I hope both guys are locked up 20+ years. What I'd really like is a penal colony in the middle of the North Atlantic to throw guys like this. Is Greenland for sale ;)
