Absolutely nothing bad to say about Jordan Ashton but it's pretty easy to see Cooke is the better player. Need Hallice taking over those minutes if we are going to make a deep run. Looked confident tonight.

Where is all the people who said he wasn't good enough to play? Amazing what kind of finish to a game you can have when you sub players.

Not important who is better. We'll need both down the stretch.

Good night offensively hopefully he can keep that going, needs to take better care of the ball though.

Played a great game. Pesky on defense, had some nice passes, took good shots. All around good performance. If he plays like that and Jameel plays like he did tonight... we could be very dangerous.

When you play as many close games as we have this year I'm sorry to say but it is EXTREMELY important. Hallice clearly the more proven shooter and play maker. An extra basket or two could make the difference between an early exit in the tournament or a final four run

We really don't though, Cooke should be able to handle enough minutes to provide rest to the starters and he's got a much higher ceiling than Ashton.

Way up there
Hallice has a lot of confidence, I think its clear he is a big 12 caliber athlete hopefully this is the start of him coming around. Something clearly changed for him to get as many minutes as he did.

Ashton takes sooo long to windup his shot. Needs a much quicker release. Cooke made a strong case for having more minutes tonight.

Cooke can create a little too, Ashton isn't going to do much besides spotting up. He's more than earned his scholarship this year, just would like to see a lot more Cooke down the stretch.

Cooke played well tonight. Sometimes looked like he was hurrying too much and a little out of control. But he settled down and played well, giving MM a good break and making everyone look more rested.

Ashton is not out there for offense. We have enough guys to score. His on the ball defense is very good and he should still be part of the rotation. Good to see coach give Cooke minutes and what do you know, he produces when given a chance to play.

I am not sure why people say that Ashton is a very good on ball defender. I would agree we will still need him to finish the year, but Hallice looks much more comfortable out there and can do other things than just spot up in the corner.

He's had some good or OK moments, but he's basically the underdog guy that folks want to buy into in place of their frustrations with other players/coaches.

I think is obvious that Hallice earned a starting spot with his play. :jimlad:

In all seriousness, I just want him to give us some solid minutes. If he can do that, he will help this team a bunch.
