Harbaugh & Norvell Interviewed in Dallas

That comment is below the standards of Iowa State. Coach Norvell would not be interviewed by Jamie Pollard if he was not very well qualified and capable. Is he the best candidate - leave that to the AD to decide. But don't diminish Norvell's accomplishments as a coach just because he is a black American.

I hardly think his point was to diminish his accomplishments as a coach. If I recall correctly, schools are required to talk to a minority candidate every time they are hiring a HC. This could be just the NFL, but something tells me this is also a rule in the NCAA. If this is a case, this could very well be the definition of a "token" interview.
