I have. Most wonderfull experience I have ever had on vacation. It's semi secluded. The resturants were great. The pool is great. You can party at the pool on one side or you can relax on the other. Depending on what kind of mood your in. At night they have a nightclub at the place or you can jump in a taxi and bust over to cancoon. I was actually thinking about taking my wife back for our 5 year anniversary

We stayed at the Aventura Spa Palace, which is owned by the same company that owns the Moon palace. We both enjoyed it. Great service bunch of fun. Free shuttle to go to any of the other properties as well.

A contradictory response:

Went there for my honeymoon, and it was the best thing I had ever done. But, in the 4 years since, I have been to the el dorado royal then the excellence resorts, all in the same area, and each was better than the previous one respectively. If you have never done an all inclusive before, do it. If you are looking to do better than your last all inclusive, keep looking.

If you like to eat and drink, you can't go wrong with an all inlusive..

in Riviera Maya? If so, how was the resort?

Stayed at Cancun Palace and visited Moon Palace for an afternoon (You can get into any Palace Resort for the day and have the same amenities as your "home" resort).

Was very nice, great pool, and a lot of space. The only thing I really didn't care for was the fact the place was huge. Seriously was probably 5 times the size of Cancun Palace.

Either way... trip was awesome, booze was free and the food was great and it was HOT!
Have a great time!

We went to the Aventura Spa Palace for our honeymoon nearly 6 years ago. Went to the Moon palace on the last day as we were evacuated from our hotel because of Hurricane Emily (coolest experience ever). Anyway, I thought the Moon Palace was flooded with kids. Meaning, if you want a trip for the family, it's a great place. If it's just you and the wife, head south to the Aventura Spa Palace, it's adult only. All Palace resorts are great though.

I spent 6 days at Moon Palace, and agree with everything here. It was my first all-inclusive experience, so it was great. I've only had the opportunity one other time, Couples Negril (no, I didn't visit the blue haired nude beach). My second experience was better, and I think the main reason was the absence of families, but Moon Palace was still very nice.

Couples Negril was absolutely amazing. Still the best all-inclusive my wife and I have taken.

I agree with previous posts concerning the pools, food, drinks and general positive marks. So, I wont restate.

One important note...You go to the Moon Palace for the pool and resort action..."NOT" the beach. The beach is down right terrible. Lots of rocks. So, you will need beach shoes if you plan to swim the ocean. Worse yet... the seaweed or terrible. The beach is lined with seaweed. They try to rake it each morning, but it's always there and when we were there the beach smelled of seaweed.

So, if the beach is important to you, be prepared. Few people really hung out on the beach. On the other hand, the resort itself was great and with all of the pools, you'll probably not miss the beach (I personally love being able to hang on the beach, so it was a bit disappointing for me...others in my family didn't care.

They have a sister resort on the main Cancun strip...and you can use the amenities (including food and drink) there too. There are free shuttles to and from. We did that for a day to get our beach fix...

You'll enjoy it!

There were kids there when I went, but I wouldn't say it was "flooded". However - general rule of thumb is the hotel doesn't quite have all the finishing touches if it has kids there. Adults only = nicer, but likely more expensive.

I agree on the kids thing. However, it's basically no different than any other non adults only hotel. The beach is horrible all down the riviera Maya beach. I only went out there one time. No big deal due to all of the other stuff though.

The place we stayed at had a great beach and choral reef for scuba diving too. Can't remember the name though. I'll have to ask the wife later.

Really? I was told most of Riviera Maya is pretty bad. I must be wrong. Also on the Jamaican all inclusives it will cost you a grand or so more per couple. They are way more expensive. I really liked jamaica but I also like Moon Palace and would rather spend 1k less and go to Moon palace.
