Yes he was on the bench. We needed our core guys last night to get that win so there were just no minutes for him.
My guess is he's a little behind as far as defensive scheme goes, there wasn't any foul trouble that required it and the players that were playing were playing well. Matchups maybe came into play. Was OU basically 4 guards most of the game?
There's just not going to be many minutes for Ward and Watson in conference play. Especially when Kunc returns. The front court is pretty crowded now and we want Holmes, Grill Kalscheur and Lipsey on the floor as much as possible.
Feel like rotation minutes usually tighten up significantly come conference play, so we may not be seeing much of him, especially when Jazz returns.
He was there - As long as Tre King continues to be effective Ward is likely to get spot minutes the rest of the year, especially when Kunc returns. We're just not used to that kind of depth in the front court.
i just have a hard time seeing Bob Jones get all of those minutes. There's just no way Ward is that much worse than him.

its like there should be a requirement that to start a thread, you have to donate one dollar to the collective or CF. or if you have received enough positive points you can spend those too.

No offense to Ward because I think he can be really good but right now his only offensive game is catching a lob dunk.
I mentioned it in the game forum. It’s a valid question. At least we aren’t going the Eli King route.
You would think that a fan who's invested enough in the team that he actually knows who Hasan Ward is, would realize that not everyone gets to play every single game?
Us going small - playing 4 guards with Grill at the "4" basically took Jacob Groves out of the game. Grill got open for 3s against him and Groves played a season low 16 minutes.
Bob can bang, I’d expect him to cover Lampkin Saturday a lot. Hason isn’t a banger. I have a feeling we would have seen Hasan if we would have gotten down and needed to press
Bob is almost always in the right spot on defense. Thats why he gets the minutes.
Agreed, and he had a couple good defensive stops in the second half.
But that was Bob's worst game of the season and Shoon's best game.
If Shoon plays like that every game... that would be a hell of a thing for this team. Then you'd see much less of a platoon with Bob, I think. And I am a big Bob guy, even when he misses the bunnies.
