Already been discussed on here. Tom knows how foolish it would be for him to be a head coach here.
We couldn't get him out of town fast enough as OC and now u beg him to come back. Funny how short people's memories are.
Because at the time most people loved Rhoads, and because of that believed that the rumored disagreements between Rhoads and Herman were a case where Paul was right and Herman was wrong. With more time and evidence, it appears more likely the problem was the other way around.
That being said, he's not coming here. He has a good job now and will have much better opportunities than ISU soon if he stays there and keeps winning.
I'm so confused by this thread. Herman is gone? Because he's been gone for like, four years now, man.
A little more realism. The outburst of outrage is like people expected us to compete in this game.
I love how when someone brings up a name of a potential new coach, people respond with..."idiotic comment" or"He'd never come here" or some other negative comment. There has to be someone who thinks this ISU job is a winnable gig. And can get a staff together to accomplish that. I refuse to get into the negative reasons why we CAN'T get it done and focus on the positive reasons that it CAN be done!
In general I try to expect more emotional maturity than a toddler, but I've been here long enough to know better.

Tom Herman deserves better than Iowa State. Literally zero chance of this happening. Time to move on.
Western Ky coach please. Dude is a stud and can flat out coach qbs. Which is what we need more than anything. Western ky offense is also one of tops in country. Western ky folks has been historically horrific folks.
