I am looking for a new pair of headphones to use while running. Below is what I am looking for.

1. Bluetooth with good connection
2. Good tight fit on the ear. Earbuds do not work on me, they never stay in my error, so having something that wraps around my ear is important.
3. I would ideally like one that wraps around your head, but is stable. I would prefer to not have a loose wire, but one that has some kind of support.
4. Money is not an issue if it is the right one.

Let me know what kinds of headphones you all use for running or sports.

I have some Bose AE2 headphones and love them. They are not bluetooth, but they make a new bluetooth version (AE2w). The AE2 headphones are light and fit nicely. Other headphones are uncomfortable when wearing for long periods. The sound is very clear and has quite a bit of base. If you really want to spend extra money, the higher end noise cancelling ones are awesome for flying.

I am looking for something that is more for running. I view headphones like the Bose you just mentioned for entertainment/relaxing. Thanks.

I know they are earbuds, but I love my LG Tone Active set. Battery life is excellent and they fit tight around your neck to keep from bouncing. Since the base is held in place, the wires do not pull the earbuds out of your ear.

These would be my recommendation. I am an avid runner and have gone through a few different pairs of bluetooth headphones and these are my favorite by far.

https://www.amazon.com/JBL-Reflect-...qid=1469817012&sr=8-2&keywords=jbl+reflect+bt

The sound level is great and they are essentially noise cancelling as I can't hear anything else around me when I have them in my ears. I also used to have issues with other headphones popping out of my ear especially during the summer when I sweat more. These always stay in my ear and I never have to adjust them during a run. Another plus is they come with different attachments for people with different ear sizes, preferences etc. Battery life is pretty good and they are the lightest pair I've owned so I barely notice when I have them in.

My wife has the Backbeat's that you mentioned. I have used them a few times and have a few problems with them. They are heavier and less flexible, and they aren't quite as noise cancelling as the JBLs. The biggest issue for me is the volume isn't loud enough. I listen to a lot of podcasts while running and if I'm running on a busy road I can't hear squat with them cranked up to max volume. That being said she loves them so they might fit your style too.

Overall there a ton of great bluetooth headphone options out there, you just have to decide what features are most important to you (i.e. volume, sound quality, battery life, fit in ear) and what you're willing to pay. Hope my advice helps.

Anything by Shure. Very high quality sound and noise isolating - basically in-ear hearing protection with very high quality speakers built in. Best bass response I've ever heard in headphones. The ear bud fits into and seals against your ear canal, and the wire wraps over your ear. Then there is a little wire clip thin that you can adjust to keep the wires snug to the bottom of your chin (with wires in front) or the back of your head (with wires behind). I wear them while push mowing and they've held up great to active outdoor use. Here's a review for the SE315 which is what I have. The were about $250 when I bought mine, but that was years ago so I presume price has come down some, and there are cheaper models.

Depending on what exactly you want, here are a couple of suggestions for headphones which are not in-ear (they are either worn 'on', meaning they sit on top of the ear, or 'around' the ear, meaning the cup of the headphones encloses the whole ear)

Onkyo ES-BT1
https://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-ES-BT1.../B00HZDB1D0/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8

I haven't used these, but the reviews are decent. Bluetooth and they have a mesh-y cup made for activity.

V-Moda crossfade
https://www.amazon.com/V-MODA-Cross...id=1469892284&sr=1-1&keywords=v-moda+wireless

These are over-ear headphones, so physically they are much larger than the onkyo ones. They cover your entire ear, so the noise isolation will be better.. however these ones will be heavier than the onkyo. I own a pair of the M-80's, which are smaller, on-ear ones, and I like to wear those for running and whatnot. The sound quality is good, if not bass heavy, but the biggest thing is that their construction is excellent. The V-Moda's are all well made. My M-80's are not wireless, however.
