Yea, they already have their guy on staff, they just weren’t allowed to straight up promote him for some reason. It’s probably helpful from an interviewee process, but when both sides know you aren’t getting the job, how helpful is it actually?

I've heard nothing, but I could see this being true. While I feel like we've seen slow steady improvement under him, I'm still not ready to crown his tenure here as a complete success. I am willing to give it more time though. Hopefully we get to keep him a couple more years and we continue to see improvement.

Smart move. I wouldn’t go near FSU right now. Even though Norvell got a big extension and had that 13-0 season before getting walloped by UGA, he’s got a dead man walking vibe right now. Kind of like McDermott his last couple years here. Then you throw in the repressive ACC TV deal and that whole squabble and I foresee nothing but tumult and uncertainty from that program the next few years.
