Ok, what’s the standards for tipping caterers? 20% seems steep seeing they are building in labor. They just serve a line, no order taking or clean up, no drink order or delivery either. They also don’t bring each person a bill, just me. @jcyclonee was no help.

Is the venue providing bar service and table pick up or do the guests just throw their plates away?

Venue had the bar and guests clean up. So caterer just serves.
I'd guess between 10 to 15%. But at the same time they've got their profit figured into the pricing I would assume. So maybe 0?

Well I guess I'm the wrong person to ask on this subject.

But what I did discover was that you should look on the quote for a gratuity/service charge. If that's on there, you shouldn't tip additionally unless you think the service was superior. If that's not on there, I would ask the catering manager if the catering help expects a tip on top of the catering fees. Again, I'm little to no help.

So if you thought you were well serviced, you may give more than just the tip, is that what you are saying?
