When he was calling games on the radio, he made sure everyone knew his opinion of the quarterback's play. I envisioned him sitting in the booth with his old uniform and cleats on, waiting for them to call his number.

I really only remember watching him on Inside the NFL in the 90s, but I thought he was great in that capacity.

Yeah, way before my time as a player, but one of the voices of my childhood from Inside the NFL.

Mentioning an old Chief’s passing had me trying to remember Ed Podalak’s name. I Googled “Creepy Hawkeye who played for the Chiefs” and first hit was his Wikipedia.

But RIP Len Dawson. Little girl me rooted on your Super Bowl win.

Len smoking a lung dart doesn't seem that strange, but what's up with the Fresca.

Some great stories on 810 am radio today. Sounds like he was a real down to earth star, unlike several this day and age.
