Thanks. I clicked on a link for "officials" and it gave me an alphabetical list of refs with the last game they worked. That site is loaded with great stuff.

It is pretty cool. They must have gotten bought out. It used to be a different name and everything was free. Now you only get five page views a day. Kinda sucks.

I met Randy Heimerman this summer as he coordinates all umpires for baseball / softball for the CIML in addition to officiating college hoops. He had some good stories on Bob Knight, Larry Eustachy and Matthew Dellavedova.
Randy's a good guy and a good official. He does have some great stories. All those guys do. I went to the Big Ten referee camp in 2002 and just listening to those guys at the lunch table was worth the price of the camp.

$3000 per game goes a long way when you live in Omaha and ref in Ames or Lawrence. Of course, he probably never travels directly from Omaha.
If he truly is making $3000 per game, it has gone up a lot in the last 15 years. I think they went to a tiered system a few years ago where more experienced guys make more but they're not all making $3000 per game.

Higgins was a ref for the UNI game at Bradley last night. Hard to think that one paid $3000. The gate receipts probably didn't total $3000!
MVC does not pay as much as much as the Power 5 leagues. Last I knew, and again this was several years ago, MVC was paying $800 to $1200 plus a travel stipend.

All the leagues used to pay a game fee plus a stipend but I think most of them have gone to flat pay and now they pay their own travel.
