Holyoke, MA compared to Ames, IA

The Boston-Worcester corridor for me. It might have been just the right time, too.

Yeah, it could be that I've hit bad times (usually late July), but it's been Boston for me. Great city though and would move there!

Agree with the earlier comment that Holyoke is similar to Detroit. Holyoke is an old industrial city that's not ever recovered. Diametrically different when compared to Ames-from an economic, social and demographic standpoint.

I know this is grammatically correct given that they are talking about an organization, but I pulled this headline off their website and chuckled a bit:

Holyoke Public Schools is Hiring!

When you think of it as one entity, it is grammatically correct.

If you are 24 or younger, Ames probably isn't too bad. If you are older, I suggest staying in St Louis.

I am a little torn between all these jobs that keep calling me on a weekly basis. Most of the jobs tend to be at areas that are like Detroit or Holyoke however. I guess no one wants to go there...
