Where did I say that ISU won't make the tournament?
Where have I spread that word?
I am proving to you via stats that 21 wins doesn't guarantee a NCAA bid, and that the Big12 is roughly the same as the ACC the last 5 years, via more stats by tournament bids.

Yup, I don't apparently know what I'm talking about.
What it comes down to is that the bubble this year is WEAK. You should know this. Our chances of getting in are VERY GOOD. Everybody is freaking out because they arn't use to having an ISU team this good and arn't use to winning.

Not trying to disprove anything you have said. That leads to an arguement. Cyclone fans shouldn't argue with each other. Should just discuss. Bubble is weak. Iowa State isn't even on the "Bubble" according to alot of experts. They are already in according to them. Cyclones will get in. End of convo.

Well you made some lies about what I posted, I disproved that, then you avoided responding to them. I know its typical of you to do that, and then run away.

1-3 over the next four games doesn't leave me with a good feeling in my gut. If we beat Tech and can get one of the last three, I'm about 95% sure we'll be in this year. And I think that's what we'll do. I'm not sure who we beat besides Tech, I think we have about even odds to beat any of the last three, with a slight edge to the Baylor game because it's at home on senior night with a lot on the line.

Of course, even if we go 0-4 we could win the Big 12 Tournament, but let's not go there. :wideeyed:

I believe we have "bubble mediocrity" on our side. Most of all teams on the bubble look ALOT worse off than we do.

I think we are safe if we do not completely implode the rest of the season.

I also agree that our fans dont want to buy into us being in the tourney too early because we have been kicked in the nuts too many times in our recent history. After selection Sunday and if we are included in the tournament. I think our fan base will start gaining more and more confidence in our team, and our coaching.

I was thinking about it tonight, and I think we've generally been looking at the final stretch in the wrong way- the Cyclones hold their own future in their hands, and what have they done so far this year if not seize what is there for the taking?

With a win tomorrow, they will be 10-5 in conference. That's 10-5. And they've been in every single loss except for Baylor. No reason whatsoever to expect that all of the last four will be losses. Take care of business tomorrow, and then one game at time from there!

GOOD TO SEE THE RETURN OF CLONES21 AND HIS MOTHER ON CF. ANYWAYS ABOUT THE GAME, YES INDEED IT IS A BIG GAME LIKE MOST GAMES LATE IN THE SEASON, A WIN WOULD BE HUGE. I HAVE A FEELING BABB WILL LOCK DOWN ON MCGRUDER WHICH WILL BE KEY AND LEADS US TO A 68-62 WIN DOWN IN THE LITTLE APPLE.

WELCOME BACK CLONES21!

If we don't make the tourney... fine...

We have our own destination in our hands and don't have to play the soon to be champs (KU) again. By the way, we beat them.

Dude, Give Clones21 a break. He is as entitled to his opinion as you are. I happen to agree with Clones 21 that if we win 2 of these last four, we are in. If we finish the season with three straight losses, we'd better win at least one in the B12 tourney or we're all nervous on selection sunday. The selection committee generally considers how teams finished the season.

I tend to agree with this. If we don't make the tourney, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Even if we miss it, I much prefer this type of season to the 5 straight years of being irrelevant after mid January.

I would give 21 a break, but he was lying in his posts, about what I typed, then wouldn't respond to it.
I think that if we win 21 we will have a good shot at getting in, but as I posted before, teams have won that many and not gotten in. I've got a lot of faith in this team even winning atleast 1 in the B12 tourney as well as the NCAA, somewhat like the 2005 ISU team that met Carolina in the second round.

In other news, Illinois and Northwestern lost. Stick a fork in Illinois, and NW is going to have to do something amazing to get back into it.
I wasn't all that impressed with NW like a lot of people apparently are to even have them on the bubble.
If Illinois is smart, they'll be calling Buzz Williams ASAP.

I know 21 wins 99.8% sure gets us in. I just think we need that #21 to be K-State. I don't like our chances against Baylor. I just don't think we match well with them...even at home.
as for your first post. beating ksu@ksu is less big than beating ttu at home tomorrow. and as for the comment i am replying to, no way is baylor going to shoot 75% in the second half against us. we win that game at home

No offense, you do take a lot of heat here, but Baylor hit some ridiculous shots against us, we didnt hit any, and we out-boarded them. They are soft and I promise we will play them tougher at home than we did down there. Plus the crowd will be downright hostile to Acy because of how he showboated against us down there. They dont play well in Ames I dont believe as well.
