I think 2-2 from here out is realistic. Yes, ISU has beaten better competition to this point, but by now ISU has a target on them instead of the other way around.

I'm just going to go with best case scenario prediction: We win out and go to Champ game. OU meets us there and beats us soundly enough to redeem themselves in the committee's eyes and gets a 3 or 4 seed in the CFP. We get invited to a bowl game and win that. 11-3 final record.

Worst case scenario: We lose to Okie State and win our bowl. 10-3 final record.

Riddle me this: if ISU gets a 10th win due to a bowl game, do ISU fans get to count that as a 10 win season, or will all of the dooshy Rag and Gazette 'writers' shout it down even after they've been spouting that about Hawkdom many times over?

I get sick of trying to read something that's not CF about what ISU's accomplishing and seeing a minimal amount of coverage.

I don't see why anyone should care what those dying periodicals say. They are irrelevant. Despite being a "fan" site, I have seen more objective and honest reporting on all things Cyclone here than in the "Go Hawks" Gazette or the "Ridiculous Randy Ramblings" Register. Don't expect validation from the dying-dying-dead media. The Cyclones don't need them.

I get it, and maybe it's just because I had a hard reminder this past weekend...I was back in C.R. Sunday there was about a 6 page spread over the Iowa/whoever they played game and, although more than I've seen, basically just a couple of articles about ISU just, you know, beating another Top 10 team in a month.

I hear you. It is dumb that such a big paper cannot find a way to broaden it's sports coverage. There was a thread started a few weeks ago talking about that very problem with the Gazette. Check out the Gazette's response to fans like us:
