Maybe a big drop will get them to play their ***** off at Cincy

I'm calling it right now. We lose to Cincy, sleepwalk the next game, and lose by 15+ against OU. After that we will be unranked.

Ill disagree with you on all counts. We will be about a 3.5 dog to Cinci, and will walk out with a 4-5 point win. Coppin State may be the worst team we play all season, and we will win that by 30+. OU has 11 days off before they play us, and has to turn around after playing us and go to Lawrence for Big Monday. They will be out of sync.

My first thought was #15, but that's clearly the pessimistic side of me coming through.

Somewhere in the U.S.
Out of top 10 for sure, but probably still in top 15.....mainly because several other top 10 teams lost too.

Cincy and OU are going to be tough, tough games. Decent offenses, but really good defenses too. Cincy is a long, athletic team, and we all know what OU has since they have been there for years.

Dumb threads need gifs. So here we go for the "Oh, no, we will fall off the end of the earth types."

I would prefer we drop deep into the Twenties, or into "Others," better yet.'

This team needs to play "up" instead of with inflated notions of themselves.

Maybe try not pretending like you're the team psychologist and acting like you have any kind of an idea of the notion these players have of themselves?

Maybe quit trying to self-appoint yourself the arbiter of which opinions are "stupid" and which aren't.
My opinions are as valid as any other around here.
In the meantime, with your permission, I'll continue to subscribe to the assumption that striving to achieve something ("up") is more reliable motivation that be gazing at your press clippings and high poll ratings.

15 would be about right imo. Should hover around that for most of the year.

Might drop out if Cincy and OU put them away early.

If this is the case, that may mean ISU cares more about the number next to their name, vs. just going out and playing some basketball.

What gets them in trouble seems to be that they actually think being ranked high means they're some sort of physically dominating team, which they aren't.

Because they're not striving to achieve a championship and are just reading CF and staring at themselves flexing in the mirror, like elite college players are wont to do. Got it.
