What is everyone's prediction on how big of a crowd advantage ISU will have Saturday in Dallas. We all know how well ISU fans travel to destinations. And with no one being able to be there the last time due to Covid i'm hoping that we take advantage of this opportunity. I don't know how well Arizona State Fans travel.

Im hoping we have at 2 to 1 advantage

One note, I requested and received tickets through ISU, and the email confirming tickets said if you need more, go ahead and order more. I think ISU's initial allotment was 6K for cyclone club members, so we either didn't max that out, Clones are getting tickets from other sources, or Iowa State requested and received additional tickets.

People who go to these games do not often buy their tickets through the university, they buy them through third party ticket vendors like TicketMaster, VividSeats, SeetGeak, Stub Hub, etc.

If we could get 9k people down for a championship game during a pandemic, we can do a hell of a lot better than that for a regular season.

I think people are forgetting we brought around 25k fans to the Alamo Bowl...that is insane considering it's a non NY6 bowl and it's 15 hours away from most central Iowans.

while ASU is definitely the larger school and has a larger alumni base, I still think we out number them. I think it'll be 60:40 in Iowa State's favor.

I have family that will be making the trip. I think we will have a pretty good turnout.

I haven’t fact checked this but someone told me that unlike Iowa State. ASU doesn’t have an alumni chapter in Dallas.

Plus I think ASU is still a former pac 12 fan base. I think it pretty much took till their last game to sell it out.

I think with Iowa State being the closer school to Dallas and having a more “truck stop” conference fan base. We should hold a home field advantage. Hopefully even to KC basketball conference levels.

ASU alumi base and fan base are two different things.
Do they not have a high-engagement fanbase? I honestly do not know much about them. I guess I could assume many of them come from other parts of the country for the weather and party scene, not necessarily die-hards from the area that grew up fans like many of us.

I think it's more accurate to say they don't have a high-engagement alumni base. A ton of people get a degree from ASU but don't follow their athletics at all.

They have a lot of pretty girls that distract them. We have the ones with bruised sacks from years of torment who won't be denied and will show up anyway. You tell me which fanbase is more dedicated?

I think I remember seeing 8500 in the original email.
I also ordered tickets but I can't use them. If anyone wants them, LMK!

The difference is the Alamo Bowl was a 3 week head start to figure out logistics and most people had that day off anyway or planned to have it off. This was a 6 day head start.

That's also an important difference between this year and 2020, where we had effectively secured our spot with a week left to play. That, and the cost of airfare in 2020 was peanuts.

I’ll be there and I think we’ll have a good turnout. I do wish they priced tickets lower though. They should have priced them low so that place would be packed.

I think they’ll drop significantly by Thursday but by then folks will have decided they’re not going. I think there’s no shot all 90k seats are full, but they should have made that a priority

I went to one of their game watches in Denver a number of years back and it was bigger than a lot of the ISU ones I'd been to at that point. I think they have a decent fan base so it'll be interesting to see if they show up. Same goes for their turnout against CU around that same time.

I’ve been to a lot of ISU game watches around the country and they’re not great outside of KC, Chicago, and Minny. I think our fanbase just isn’t as spread out as others like ASU
