I am not old in any way and all my friends aren’t either. But they still only stream the team they want to watch if that’s the only way to watch them. The casual fans that make the networks the big bucks are still OTA. That could and likely will change years from now but it might also just be that sports viewership drops in general as the 60 and older crowd dies off. People 30 and under are not watching college sports especially like they used to but it’s virtually down across the board for every sport by double digit percentages.

The youth is into social media and mindless things like TikTok and the like to get their fix and release from reality. The data is out there, so we shall see how that trend goes over the next 20 years.
I simply meant the old people keeping OTA viable need to learn.

I find it super fun to watch games stress free: WVA vs TCU or Tech vs Baylor
I can add to the extreme frustration though. Like watching a WV look like totally hapless and complete dogsh*t and you think “oh we’ll smoke them”. Only to find they then the next week vs us they look like the 85 Bears.

I have gotten to the point where, while I still care about outcomes of games not involving the good guys, I don't have the time and/or want to sit down and watch games with teams I could give two s***s about.

Really hard to say. For this year it'll be ISU games, a handful of Michigan St games, and the rest is TBD. I have Hulu+ w/live TV which comes with ESPN+, so does that count as 1 or 2 services?

I'll watch whatever interests me on OTA TV and whatever I stumble across on ESPN+. Us old retired folks will satisfy our college football cravings any where and any way we can without breaking the bank.

That is true. Like how did they get handled by Minnesota? Bowl games are weird but still.

I guess I'm what you'd call a "social" CFB fan. If I want to watch a game and its not on broadcast tv, I go to a sports bar. Even then, I only do so for ISU games. I'd rather pay for wings and beer at a pub than subscription.
