On an unrelated point - do users get more points or rep for posting on the 1st page of a good thread on that site, or does it just make them look "cool"? There are like 5 guys who just posted something like "In on page 1 of this thread"....
No, its just something stupid that people do. A lot of the more "epic" threads will go 1,000 posts deep so youll see people say first or "first, edit" this post sold to (whoever). On that forum rep power means everything and if you have a lot of rep you can do whatever you want and if you have none "red" then nothing you say will be taken seriously. Its pretty stupid.
